THE opening ceremony of the 25th GCC Mens’s Golf Championship and the 14th GCC Juniors Golf Championship was held at the Royal Golf Club, in the presence of General Sports Authority CEO Dr Abdulrahman Askar, Bahrain Golf Association (BGA) president and organising committee chairman Major General Ali Saqer Al Noaimi, heads of participating delegations, invitees and BGA members yesterday.
Major General Al Noaimi welcomed the players and wished them success before making the tournament strike to declare the opening of the championships.
The championships tee-off today at the RGC at 7am and will run until Thursday.
A technical committee meeting was held on the sidelines of the opening ceremony under the chairmanship of tournament director Captain Adel bin Ali Al Fayyadh in the presence of team managers.
