A TOTAL of 6,875 car window tinting violations have been recorded since the beginning of the year, the General Directorate of Traffic has announced.
As part of traffic safety regulations, tints are allowed to an opacity of only up to 30 per cent at most, with anything more being deemed a violation.
People with repeated violations have either had their vehicles seized, their licences revoked or both.
The directorate has called upon all drivers to adhere to the rules, and look out for their own safety as well as that of others.
