The Industry and Commerce Ministry’s commitment to supporting the technology sector was underlined by under-secretary Eman Al Doseri, noting its importance in creating jobs, supporting GDP growth, and accelerating economic development.
She said this yesterday after inaugurating the 11th Information and Communication Technology Conference (MEET ICT) and the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition (BITEX) at the Gulf Hotel Bahrain Convention and Spa.
Ms Al Doseri also highlighted the government’s efforts to encourage local companies and projects that offer advanced technological ideas and solutions.
The three-day event is organised by the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTEC) and Worksmart for Event Management under the patronage of Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro.
