Cristiano Ronaldo has reached his first final for Al Nassr after scoring from the penalty spot in a 1-0 win over Al Shorta of Iraq in the semi-final of the King Salman Club Cup yesterday.
Al Nassr will face another Saudi opponent, Al Hilal, in the final on Saturday after the latter outplayed Al Shabab 3-1 in the second semi-final.
The title clash will be at King Fahd Sport City Stadium in Taif.
The star-studded Saudi Arabian side were simply too good for the Iraqi champions, although they had to wait until the second half to make their class count and for their megastar Ronaldo to step up from the spot.
Senegal winger Mane, who signed from Bayern Munich last week, was brought down in the box and referee pointed to the spot. Ronaldo kept his cool to score for the fourth successive game.
Al Shorta had a chance in the final minute. Ahmed Farhan raced clear and from just inside the area he tried to lift the ball over the advancing Nawaf Al Aqidi, who just managed to get a hand to it. It was a match-winning save. Al Nassr saw out added time to take the victory and maintain their hopes of lifting the title.
