A female Bahraini intern has joined Y K Almoayyed & Sons, sole distributor of Nissan vehicles in Bahrain.
Asma Mohammed Ashfaq will be working as a car technician at Nissan Service Centre, Sitra.
Ms Ashfaq’s two-month internship will allow her to further her knowledge in diagnostics and automotive experience.
She is the company’s first female Bahraini intern; until recently, this job has traditionally been perceived as suitable only for men. However, times are changing and Ms Ashfaq’s joining is breaking the gender barrier.

Ms Ashfaq’s internship will provide her with hands-on experience in the field of automotive technology and diagnostics. A team of experienced technicians will work closely with her to ensure that she gains the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the industry.
