UAE has announced a new Happiness SIM for blue-collar workers, offering them exclusive benefits for nominal prices.
The initiative is the result of a partnership between the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) and telecom service provider du, which is part of the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC).
The new SIM cards, which offer six months of free data and low rates on international calls, can be purchased from business service centres and guidance centres, or online via the MoHRE website.
"We are excited about this partnership with du, as it aligns with our mission to enhance the welfare of blue-collar workers in the country," said Emiratisation Affairs acting undersecretary and Labour Affairs assistant undersecretary Ayesha Belharfia.
"By providing them with affordable and reliable connectivity, we are enabling them to stay connected with their loved ones and access essential services," she added.
