While it’s unknown what the Emmy Award-winning entertainer and radio personality is doing in Bahrain, people are simply delighted to see him and are wishing him a wonderful stay.
For the uninitiated, Mr Harvey, born January 17, 1957, in Welch, West Virginia as Broderick Stephen Harvey, is also a New York Times best-selling author, a businessman and philanthropist.
His career started after an open mic comedy night in 1985 where he brought down the house with laughter. He then took a leap of faith and, while his road to success was not an easy one, he overcame obstacles and landed his big break after winning a national comedy competition in 1990 on Showtime at the Apollo. His career took off from then on.
He was one of the original ‘Kings of Comedy’ alongside greats such as the late Bernie Mac, and after tours and DVD releases, had his final stand-up act at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in 2012.
He went onto TV with The Steve Harvey Show and Steve Harvey’s Big Time Challenge.
He also performed in movies such as Love Don’t Cost a Thing, You Got Served, Johnson Family Vacation and Madea Goes to Jail.
His hosting career also includes Family Feud and Celebrity Family Feud and lots more.
