THE Northern Municipal Council held a meeting yesterday to co-ordinate measures to reduce damage during heavy rains.
They emphasised the need to put in place a mechanism to co-ordinate with the relevant authorities to help deal with emergency cases, organise the tank distribution process and find solutions to limit the damage.
Members stressed the importance of co-operation with the Works Ministry on a mechanism to address urgent issues, and compensate those affected during the rainy season.
