A breast cancer awareness campaign launched by Bapco Energies has hosted a series of events throughout the month of October to raise awareness among its employees across the group.
The campaign, titled ‘BE Brave,’ offered employees a comprehensive array of planned activities, including awareness sessions, free medical consultations in partnership with Awali Hospital and a walkathon.
“At Bapco Energies, we take our employees’ well-being very seriously,” Bapco Energies chief executive Mark Thomas said.
“Through such initiatives, we aim to educate our employees on the importance of screening and early diagnosis, as well as encourage them to conduct regular check-ups through the right channels available in Bahrain.
“Breast cancer is considered the most prevalent form of cancer worldwide. In recent years, early detection programmes have significantly improved treatment and recovery rates.”
The company says the campaign has also served as an opportunity to further strengthen the organisational culture under the name of Bapco Energies, the new integrated energy company leading the energy transition in Bahrain.
