HUNDREDS of dinars were raised in support of cancer patients in Bahrain, at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain’s 11th Charity Aquathlon which was held in partnership with the renowned automotive brand Mercedes-Benz.
The event took place at the Royal Beach Club, drawing participants, enthusiasts, and generous supporters from all across the island.
It provided a dazzling showcase of swimming and running skills, with the primary goal of raising awareness and funds for a noble cause.
Athletes of varying skill levels, from passionate amateurs to seasoned professionals, gathered at the coastline of The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, to display their athletic abilities and lend their support to a meaningful initiative.
This collaboration with Mercedes-Benz exemplified the shared commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.
The event featured a display of Mercedes-Benz’s vehicles, adding an extra touch of elegance and grandeur to the proceedings. Passionate participants and enthusiastic spectators were captivated by the seamless blend of sportsmanship and sophistication throughout the event.
The event raised BD1,500 for the Bahrain Cancer Society. The funds will be directed towards supporting vital programmes and initiatives of the non-profit organisation.

In the Men’s category, Eric Watson was placed first, followed by Salman Al Khalifa and Saleh Ebrahim Saleh.
In the Women’s category, Sara Howe was placed first, followed by Cristina Casiano and Maria Camacho.
In the Team category, Nick Hiatt and Abdul Basit were placed first, followed by Ali Alboloushi and Sumaya Hussain, and Mohammed Salman and Mahmood Hujairi.
