IN a momentous stride towards sustainability, the Riffa Views Owners Association (RVOA), a leading entity in Bahrain, has forged a pioneering 25-year collaboration with SirajPower, one of the top renewable energy companies in the GCC.
This landmark agreement embodies a strategic union wherein SirajPower will spearhead the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a solar energy project at Riffa Views.
This long-term strategic alliance will see SirajPower deploying innovative solar solutions with a capacity of 1.6 MWp at Riffa Views, yielding substantial reductions in carbon emissions while bolstering energy efficiency, aligning seamlessly with Bahrain’s steadfast commitment to sustainability.
The signing ceremony, held on November 14, 2023, at Riffa Views headquarters, marked a significant milestone. Among the distinguished attendees were RVOA board vice-chairman Mohamed Alshaikh, Riffa Views managing director and RVOA association manager Yasser Alraee, SirajPower chief executive officer Laurent Longuet and SirajPower head of business development Mithun Chemmangat.
Mr Alshaikh underscored the pivotal nature of this collaboration.
“This project stands as a cornerstone in the Riffa Views Owners Association’s strategic objectives, aligning with our vision to position the Riffa Views residential community as a vanguard in green development within Bahrain,” he said.
“The production of 70GWh of clean energy annually will undoubtedly fortify our efforts in preserving and nurturing the environment,” he added.
Mr Alraee echoed this sentiment, expressing immense satisfaction with the 25-year partnership with SirajPower. He emphasised the alignment of Riffa Views with Bahrain’s sustainability goals and highlighted the interconnectedness of building a prosperous future with safeguarding the environment.
Mr Longuet lauded the collaboration as revolutionary.

Over the initial five years, the solar project anticipates generating 14.5 million kWh of clean energy, with 3m kWh expected in the inaugural year alone. Throughout its 25-year lifespan, the project aims to produce a substantial 70GWh of energy. This output is equivalent to planting more than 810,000 tree seedlings for a decade and offsetting approximately 50,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions, making a tangible impact on the environment.
