BAHRAIN has intensified its crackdown on violations with the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducting 1,656 inspection campaigns between November 19 and Saturday.
Sixty-seven violators were arrested and 183 were deported.
A total of 23 joint inspection campaigns were carried out, including 13 in the Capital Governorate, four in Muharraq and three each in the Northern and Southern governorates.
They were held in co-ordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, the Interior Ministry, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, the General Directorate for the Enforcement of Sentences, the Security Directorates in the governorates, as well as the Labour Ministry.
The LMRA urged everyone to report any complaints related to labour market violations by filling out the electronic form on www.lmra.gov.bh or calling the authority’s call centre 17506055.
