Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday opened the National Day Festival at the Heritage Village at Ras Hayan.
Organised by the Information Affairs Ministry, the festival is staged during the kingdom’s celebrations of National Day, and the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad’s Accession to the Throne.

Shaikh Mohammed said that the occasion highlights the kingdom’s wide-reaching achievements, in line with His Majesty King Hamad’s vision, noting that it serves as a reminder of the cross-generational efforts to achieve the kingdom’s development goals.
He congratulated His Majesty and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on National Days, and wished Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
Shaikh Mohammed, along with other attendees, was given a tour of the Heritage Village, which included several shows and activities, including traditional bands, a local suq, and entertainment programmes for children.
He noted that the festival is co-organised by government and civil society entities and coincides with National Day celebrations to showcase citizens’ and residents’ deep affection and loyalty to the kingdom and its leadership.
He highlighted the significance of the National Day Festival at Heritage Village and commended the organisational efforts of the Information Affairs Ministry and other authorities concerned.
Upon arrival, Shaikh Mohammed was welcomed by Information Affairs Minister Dr Ramzan Al Nuaimi, who expressed his gratitude to him for opening the festival.
