Riyadh - The Butterfly House, the first-of-its-kind event in the Riyadh Season, presents more than 1,000 butterflies of various types, welcoming visitors to the Wonder Garden, one of the zones of the Riyadh Season 2023.
These colorful, pretty winged creatures attract visitors who enjoy an entertaining and educational experience.
The Butterfly House is a warm home garden in which butterflies thrive in an atmosphere with humidity of up to 72% and a temperature of 27 degrees. Four different types of butterflies live in the house: one of Brazilian origin, in two different colors, the Costa Rica butterfly, which lives for only one week, and a multi-colored Philippine butterfly.
Visitors to the Wonder Garden may chase butterflies flying around them in a symphony of colors. In the greenish Butterfly House, butterflies live in an atmosphere similar to that of their original habitat.
An introductory section on butterflies and their origins is part of the experience and provides visitors with information on how butterflies absorb sugar, which is their only food.
The Butterfly House is one of the many activities and entertainment options offered in the Wonder Garden zone. The zone receives visitors during the week from 4:00 pm until 12:00 am and on weekends until 1:00 am; it offers them more than 70 games and experiences, including game arcades, 15 shops, 26 restaurants, 60 theatrical and touring shows, and an enchanting theme inspired by trees, flowers, butterflies, various artworks and graphics, and many other entertaining activities.
