HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister has underscored the pivotal role of education in the development and achievement of Bahraini youth, noting that their exceptional achievements and leadership fulfil the visions of His Majesty King Hamad.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, made the remarks yesterday as he met graduates of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP) to commemorate its silver jubilee.
HRH Prince Salman welcomed the CPISP graduates and expressed his pride in their achievements in both the public and private sectors.
He emphasised the significance of human capital in civilisational development and progress, which led the kingdom to focus on providing promising opportunities to equip Bahraini citizens with modern knowledge and skills and ample resources to contribute to building a prosperous present and a promising future.
“All human capital initiatives aim to foster an innovative generation, confident in its abilities and capable of notable national achievements across all fields,” HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister said.
“Bahraini citizens, through their commitment to excellence, are the driving force behind overcoming national challenges and developing them into success stories.
“Human capital stands as a crucial investment,” he added, highlighting its contribution to the kingdom’s accomplishments across various sectors.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed pride in the achievements of Team Bahrain, which represents an essential asset for the present and a guarantee for the future.
He commended the continuous development of the CPISP throughout its 25-year journey since 1999 and highlighted the successful and dedicated efforts of the administrators in supporting students to achieve their educational goals.
HRH Prince Salman also expressed his gratitude to private sector organisations that have offered their support to the programme, highlighting their participation as a key example of the successes achieved through the collaboration between the public and private sectors.
He directed the CPISP administrators to continue developing the programme to ensure its sustained progress towards achieving its goals.
The CPISP has awarded scholarships for students to study abroad in nine different countries, where they studied at 69 higher education establishments, and later were employed by 141 global employers. A total of 246 scholarships have been given since the start of the programme.
The CPISP graduates expressed their appreciation for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s unwavering support and commitment to creating promising opportunities for Bahraini professionals.
