His Majesty King Hamad has praised long-standing historic and fraternal relations binding Bahrain and Oman.
The King made the remarks as he received – in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, at Safriya Palace yesterday.
Sayyid Theyazin conveyed to the King greetings and appreciation from Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, as well as his wishes for abundant health and happiness to His Majesty, and continued progress to Bahrain.
The King welcomed Sayyid Theyazin, and conveyed his greetings to Sultan Haitham, as well as wishes for further progress and prosperity to the Omani people.

His Majesty commended the pioneering role played by Sultan Haitham in strengthening solid Bahraini-Omani relations, and the progress witnessed by Oman, under his leadership.
He affirmed his pride in solid, fraternal relations, which are growing steadily, in light of the two countries’ keenness to constantly develop them to meet the aspirations of their peoples.
The King conferred the Order of Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa – First Class on Sayyid Theyazin in recognition of his role in enhancing Bahraini-Omani relations.
Sayyid Theyazin expressed thanks and appreciation to His Majesty for conferring the prestigious order on him, praising the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him during his visit to the kingdom.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister held talks with Sayyid Theyazin at Sakhir Palace.
He affirmed the strength of the Bahrain-Oman relationship, which continues to promote co-operation across various fields in line with the support of His Majesty and Sultan Haitham.
He noted the kingdom’s commitment to furthering Bahrain-Oman relations and opportunities that benefit the countries and their peoples.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister hosted a lunch banquet in honour of Sayyid Theyazin.
His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Tamkeen chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and several senior officials were also in attendance.
