His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, yesterday exchanged cables of congratulations with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, and Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa on the 56th anniversary of the BDF, which falls today.
The King in his cable to HRH Prince Salman expressed pride in the BDF’s major role as a highly equipped and qualified force in defending the nation, and praised his key role in developing the institution.
He extended congratulations to the BDF chief and affiliates, commanders, officers and servicemen, praising their dedication to serving the nation under various circumstances.
The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces reiterated his pride in the BDF, and dedicated efforts to further develop the force in combat readiness, training and armament.
HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, said the occasion coincided with the BDF’s achievements on multiple levels since its establishment, in line with the vision of the King.
He reiterated the dedication to implementing the King’s directives regarding the ongoing development of the BDF’s capabilities, affirming its steadfast commitment to safeguarding the nation under the leadership of His Majesty.
The BDF Commander-in-Chief, on behalf of all BDF personnel, extended congratulations to the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces on the occasion, hailing his role in establishing the force. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa reiterated the BDF personnel’s allegiance to the King and their commitment to serving their nation.
