OIL and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr Mohammed Bin Daina received Russian Special Presidential Envoy for Climate Ruslan Edelgeriev and reviewed Bahraini-Russian relations and means to further enhance them in various domains.
Russian Ambassador Alexey Skosyrev attended the meeting.
They discussed Bahrain’s strategic development projects in the oil and gas sector, environmental initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing progress programmes, and achieving energy security, sustainability, and climate protection.
Mr Edelgeriev commended the two countries’ ties and noted the kingdom’s efforts in protecting the environment.
He expressed keenness on continued co-operation in environmental and climate change aspects.
