Children celebrating poetry.
An Arabic poetry night was held at the International School of Choueifat, with 60 students from different classes reading out classical poems. The event titled ‘Poetry Remains our Heritage’ was held in co-operation with the Bahrain Writers Association and inaugurated by chairman Dr Rashed Najem. Poems written by authors from Bahrain, the Gulf and the Arab world were recited. Guest poet Sabeeka Al Shehhi read out stanzas from her work. The festival also featured a selection of compositions celebrating Bahrain and the anniversary of the National Action Charter.
