Volunteers from the ‘Smile’ initiative by the Bahrain Future Society for Youth visited courageous young cancer patients at the Abdullah Khalil Kanoo Paediatric Oncology Unit, Salmaniya Medical Complex to share the joy of Eid Al Adha.
Members visited Ward 202, distributed gifts and treats to the children.
This initiative aligns with ‘Smile’ objectives of bringing smiles to the children’s faces and providing them with psychological support.
“The aim is to bring happiness to the courageous children battling cancer and provide them with essential support during their treatment and recovery journey,” said society chairman Sabah Al Zayani.
He highlighted the initiative’s commitment to using Eid holidays to boost the morale of sick children who are unable to participate in festivities due to their health conditions.
