The grand opening of the first Grand Seiko Salon in Bahrain was inaugurated by Bahrain Jewellery Centre (BJC), a leading name in luxury watches and jewellery, at Moda Mall.
The event was held under the auspices of Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro and Japanese Ambassador Asako Okai.
Attendees included BJC director Abdul Majeed Abbas Shirazi, company officials and dignitaries, Grand Seiko representatives and members of the media, marking a significant partnership between two esteemed brands.
Speaking exclusively to the GDN, BJC chief executive Mohammed Shirazi expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. “Our portfolio of exquisite brands at BJC speaks for itself, so adding Grand Seiko significantly adds more value and prominence,” he said.

Addressing the growing popularity of smartwatches, Mr Shirazi emphasised the enduring appeal of mechanical luxury timepieces too. “Smartwatches are purely digital and do not obtain the same artistry needed to create a luxury watch,” he explained.
