His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has praised the Royal Guard for its steadfast commitment to fulfilling its national duties.
He highlighted its sporting achievements and dedicated efforts, which have led to impressive results at regional and international competitions.
The King also praised their distinguished participation in national celebrations and events as he visited the new Royal Horse Stables of the Bahrain Defence Force’s (BDF) Royal Guard yesterday.
His Majesty was accompanied by his Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
His Majesty’s convoy was accompanied by a group of Royal Guard cavalry.
He was received on arrival by National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Guard Special Force Commander Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, and Royal Guard Deputy Commander Major General Hamad bin Khalifa Al Nuaimi.
The royal anthem was then played.
The King was briefed by Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser on the new Royal Horse Stables of the Royal Guard of the BDF, including the Ceremonial and Cavalry Group Command and its facilities.
At the end of the visit, Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser presented a commemorative gift to His Majesty.
