Bahrain-based veterinarians have expressed their exasperation over the mindless dumping of dogs across the kingdom and have appealed to the public to show compassion to their furry friends, and adopt and rehome them.
Veterinary clinic owner April Sayed, who houses around 30 dogs and 18 cats in her villa in Riffa, told the GDN that she took home several pets abandoned near her clinic as she couldn’t bear to see the suffering of the animals dumped by owners and breeders ‘who don’t want to deal with them’ .
