CYCLING – Bahrain Cycling Academy rider Mohammed Kadhem finished an impressive third in the 60-kilometre Alcora Race in Spain.
The Bahraini first-year junior finished second in the chasing group, earning him his spot on the podium.
The race featured a large field of young riders from around the world, who battled it out over a two-kilometre course for 30 laps.
Kadhem is a product of the Khalid bin Hamad Golden Generation League – an initiative of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to identify and nurture young talents from the kingdom in various sports.
