BASKETBALL – THE 2024-25 Bahrain Basketball Super Cup will get the national season underway in November, the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) has announced.
The BBA held a meeting with representatives of the kingdom’s basketball clubs to reveal the details of the new campaign. BBA president Captain Waleed Al Alawi was in attendance.
The one-off Bahrain Basketball Super Cup will be played between defending Zain Bahrain Basketball League champions and Khalifa Bin Salman Cup holders Manama and league and cup runners-up Al Ahli on November 28.
Two evenings later, the second edition of the Bahrain-Egypt Super Cup will be played. The winners of the kingdom’s game will take on their Egyptian counterparts in the November 30 affair.
The 2024-25 Zain Bahrain Basketball League will begin on December 12. The preliminary stages will be followed by the best-of-three Golden Square semi-finals and the best-of-five finals.
The BBA also announced that three non-Bahraini players are allowed to be registered for each team in the league, but only two can be on court at a time.
