A number of Pakistanis received free medical checkups at Al Hilal Healthcare’s brand-new branch in Manama Central, in celebration of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day yesterday.
It was held in collaboration with the Pakistan Embassy and attended by Ambassador Saqib Rauf.
Members of the Pakistani community received general health assessments, blood pressure measurements, uric acid test, diabetes screenings, kidney and live screening, and doctor consultations.
They were carried out by Al Hilal’s team of highly-experienced medical professionals.
“Al Hilal Healthcare’s generous initiative on the occasion of Pakistani Independence Day is truly commendable,” Mr Rauf said in a statement.
“Providing free medical services to our community is a meaningful gesture that reinforces the strong bond between our nations.”
Meanwhile, Al Hilal Hospital vice-president Asif Mohammad said the free checkups reflect the hospital’s ongoing commitment to the health of its diverse patient base.
“We are honoured to have the Ambassador of Pakistan join us and we look forward to continuing our support for the community through similar initiatives,” he said.
The attendees celebrated the day with a ceremonial cake-cutting, symbolising both the spirit of independence and the strong relationship between the Pakistani community and Al Hilal Healthcare.
