Gulf Air has announced plans to significantly increase its direct flights between Bahrain International Airport and Singapore Changi Airport. Starting later this month, the airline will operate a daily service on this popular route, up from the current three weekly flights.
The expanded schedule will be serviced by Gulf Air’s modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, offering passengers a luxurious and comfortable travel experience. The Falcon Gold class features lie-flat beds, gourmet dining, and enhanced in-flight entertainment, while Economy class passengers can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, customised menus, and kids’ activity packs.
This strategic move aligns with Gulf Air’s broader strategy of strengthening its global network and focusing on key destinations in Asia and the Middle East. The increased frequency is expected to cater to the growing demand for travel between Bahrain and Singapore, providing greater convenience and flexibility for both business and leisure travellers.
The daily flights will offer passengers seamless connectivity to Gulf Air’s extensive network, spanning across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. This will further enhance Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for travel and tourism.
A Gulf Air spokesperson expressed the airline’s excitement about the expansion, stating, “We are thrilled to increase our frequency on the Bahrain-Singapore route. This move strengthens our global network and offers passengers enhanced flexibility and access to one of Asia’s most vibrant hubs. We believe this will unlock new opportunities for travellers and solidify Gulf Air’s role as a key driver of economic growth and cultural exchange.”
Industry experts anticipate that the increased frequency will have a positive impact on both tourism and business travel between Bahrain and Singapore. Daily flights will provide improved flexibility for travellers and enhance connections to Gulf Air’s wider network, fostering stronger ties between the two regions.
The announcement comes as Gulf Air continues to invest in its fleet and services, aiming to provide a premium travel experience characterised by authentic Arabian hospitality and modern comfort. The daily flights will benefit passengers seeking efficient travel options, whether for business, leisure, or transit purposes.
