National unity and solidarity are crucial given the regional circumstances, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has said.
He also stressed that disorder is unacceptable at any time because it undermines the strength and cohesion of society as he met residents of the Capital Governorate yesterday.
Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa attended the meeting.
The minister extended condolences on the death of former Capital Governor and Bahrain’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, commending his dedication to community partnership.
He addressed the serious challenges currently facing the region, reiterating Bahrain’s support for the peace process and ending the conflict, as outlined by His Majesty King Hamad in his recent speech at the inauguration of the National Assembly’s new legislative term.
The minister commended the royal directives that have driven many national achievements, and the continuous, advanced services provided by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to ensure a dignified life for citizens.
He highlighted the governorate’s significant cultural and economic status that has made it into a key destination for the majority of visitors and tourists.
Therefore, maintaining the security and stability of the governorate is essential to boosting investment and advancing the national economy, Gen Shaikh Rashid said.
The minister expressed his appreciation to the residents for their partnership and commitment to upholding public order and security, which reflected high level of social and national awareness. It also demonstrates that security is a shared responsibility, he pointed out.
The minister noted that the National Civil Protection Platform is available to all, aiming to enhance public security by providing citizens and residents with access to important information and promoting a culture of safety for everyone.
He concluded by stressing that the younger generation represents the future of the nation, and by instilling Bahrain’s core values, the spirit of loyalty and belonging will endure.
