Bahrain stayed in the same position of 76th on the latest edition of the Fifa World Ranking, released yesterday by international football’s governing body.
The kingdom’s senior men’s national team had a 1.69 ranking points drop and went to 1,313.8.
The Bahrainis remained 11th in the Asian Football Confederation, which is topped by Japan who are 15th in the world with 1,645.09 points. Iran are second (19th, 1,627.58 ranking points) in the continent and South Korea third (22nd, 1,589.93).
Amongst GCC teams, Bahrain were fourth behind Qatar (46th, 1,478.6), Saudi Arabia (59th, 1,422.67), and the UAE (68th, 1,361.34), while being ranked ahead of Oman (80th, 1,305.99) and Kuwait (135th, 1,106.42).
