Dr. Hamad Mohammed Al Dhoyani, Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA), today received Mokhtar El Hosseinou Lam, Minister in charge of the General Secretariat of the Government in Mauritania, and his accompanying delegation.
The Mauritanian delegation toured the National Records and Archives Authority as part of its official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
Al Dhoyani and El Hosseinou Lam discussed various aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of records, archives and historical studies.
The two sides looked into means of enhancing coordination in organising conferences, scholarly seminars and exhibitions.
The Mauritanian delegation had a close look at the Sultanate of Oman’s experience in the conservation and management of electronic documents, records and archives.
The delegation saw a visual presentation about the NRAA, its main objectives, specialisations and the missions it has undertaken so far. It also took note of the historical treasures and components of cultural heritage that abound in the Sultanate of Oman.
