A breast cancer awareness event was organised by LIC (International) to educate the community about how to prevent the disease and the importance of regular checkups.
The event, held at the LIC Marketing Office in Manama, featured a lecture by a top general surgeon from KIMSHEALTH Hospital, who shared insights on breast cancer risks, symptoms and the latest developments in treatment.
Attendees received free medical check-ups, which included screenings to help spot potential issues early on.
They also took part in a question and answer session that allowed guests to obtain a deeper understanding of the disease.
“Our breast cancer awareness programme reflects our commitment to promoting health and well-being within the community,” said LIC (International) chief executive and executive director Debashis Pattanaik. “We are grateful for the partnership with KIMSHEALTH Hospital, which has allowed us to provide both education and essential medical services to our attendees.”
“LIC (International) remains dedicated to supporting health initiatives that empower individuals with knowledge and resources,” the organisation said in a statement.
“This programme is part of LIC’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer and encourage women to take charge of their health.”
