Bahrain’s first-of-its-kind executive leadership training initiative was launched yesterday, marking a significant milestone in enhancing opportunities for Bahraini talent.
Isa Bin Salman Education Charitable Trust board of trustees chairman and Tamkeen board of directors chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who inaugurated the initiative, highlighted the importance of investing in Bahraini talent through comprehensive training programmes.
He underscored the role of the Bahraini workforce in achieving success and economic growth in alignment with the kingdom’s aspirations under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The initiative, led by Tamkeen in collaboration with globally renowned training institutions such as Harvard Business Corporate Learning, INSEAD, HEC Paris, and Bahrain-based EMIC Institute, aims to equip Bahraini executives with advanced leadership skills to drive impactful change within their organisations.
Tamkeen has introduced a series of tailored programmes to support the development of Bahraini professionals and foster leadership excellence. The Leadership Programme, developed with the EMIC Institute and Harvard Business Corporate Learning, focuses on skills in leadership, digital transformation, and fostering collaboration and innovation.
The Governance Programme, in partnership with the EMIC Institute and INSEAD, empowers current and aspiring board members to excel in their roles. Additionally, the Accelerating Women’s Leadership Programme, conducted with HEC Paris, strengthens Bahraini women’s leadership capabilities and professional growth.
The programmes target Bahraini professionals in middle and senior leadership positions within the private sector, equipping them with tools to advance their careers and transition into executive roles. Details about the application process will be announced through Tamkeen’s official channels.
The training initiative aligns with Tamkeen’s 2024 strategic priorities, focusing on economic impact and private sector growth through three key pillars: increasing economic participation by creating new employment opportunities, expanding career development to advance the Bahraini workforce, and empowering private sector enterprises to enhance productivity and adopt innovative technologies.
