National Guard Staff Director Lieutenant General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa yesterday inspected the readiness of the Marine Support Unit at the National Guard’s Asry Camp.
The visit aligns with the National Guard’s strategic plans to enhance the efficiency and operational readiness of its various units.
Lt Gen Shaikh Abdulaziz reviewed the unit’s readiness through its maritime equipment, vehicles, and capabilities. He also received a detailed briefing on the training programmes and operational plans in place. He commended the high levels of efficiency demonstrated by the National Guard personnel in fulfilling their national duty and executing their assigned tasks to the highest standards.
Lt Gen Shaikh Abdulaziz emphasised that the directives of National Guard Commander General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa are reflected in the development and enhancement of leadership and operational capabilities within this vital military institution. He highlighted the National Guard’s continued role as a cornerstone of defence and national security in the kingdom.
He also highlighted the role of the Marine Support Unit within the National Guard’s system, praising the efforts and professionalism of its personnel in carrying out their duties.
Lt Gen Shaikh Abdulaziz called for continued efforts to develop maritime capabilities and strengthen co-ordination with relevant entities to secure Bahrain’s coasts and vital maritime facilities, further supporting the kingdom’s efforts to bolster maritime security and protect national interests.
