FOREIGN Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani, yesterday received Asmaa Shalabi, the newly-appointed Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to Bahrain, where she presented her credentials.
The minister congratulated Ms Shalabi on her appointment and emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to continued co-operation with the UN and its specialised agencies. He commended the significant efforts and initiatives of the UNDP in achieving its objectives and wished her success in performing her duties.
Ms Shalabi expressed her appreciation to the minister for meeting her and stressed her commitment to advancing bilateral co-operation to achieve shared developmental goals and interests.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Ministry chief of organisations Hatem Abdulhamid Hatem.
