The festive season is officially here as a winter wonderland unfolded at the Royal Golf Club (RGC) in Riffa, hosting its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony last night.
This beloved tradition was held on Slice Terrace amidst a series of holiday activations.
On entry to the reception area, visitors were welcomed by an incredible homemade Gingerbread House, a marvel meticulously crafted for more than a week.
Adorned with more than 1,200 gingerbread bricks, the house was a sight to behold. Alongside this wonder was a seasonal model of RGC’s golf course.
Live music filled the air, with ‘Holly Jolly’, a talented Bahrain Jazz Fest duo and a heartwarming Christmas choir from the American School of Bahrain setting the festive mood.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the venue was bathed in a warm, inviting glow.
Festive marquees were scattered with complimentary hot chocolates, mulled drinks and delicious pastries for everyone to enjoy.
Families and friends gathered to witness the magical moment when the towering Christmas tree was illuminated, its twinkling lights fascinating onlookers.
Children were thrilled to meet Santa Claus after he made his entrance in a smoothly operated Club Car. The jolly old man, ever generous, distributed chocolate bars and Christmas cookies, spreading joy to young and old alike.
Royal Gourmet by RGC is also offering a range of yummy treats acting as the perfect stocking fillers, especially with the added bonus of delivery.
The event was a resounding success, bringing together the community to celebrate the spirit of Christmas. It was a night filled with wonder, cheer and the promise of a joyous holiday season, with upcoming events such as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year festivities … and even takeaway delights!
