An annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Gingerbread House Competition unfolded at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa yesterday, transforming their lobby into a winter wonderland.
Families and children participated in the competition, where young architects showcased their creativity.
From traditional gingerbread houses to whimsical candy-filled castles, the entries were truly impressive and kept everyone entertained.
The atmosphere was electric, with the hotel adorned with twinkling lights, festive decorations, and a towering Christmas tree.
Talented young dancers from the Tala Dancing Club in Amwaj captivated the audience with their graceful and energetic performances.
The Magalak Choir added to the festive cheer with their beautiful rendition of Christmas carols.
A delightful selection of pastries and warm beverages were available on a complimentary basis for all guests attending the celebrations.
As the hotel’s master of ceremony counted down from 10, the anticipation grew, and the crowd erupted in cheers as the beautifully decorated Christmas tree illuminated the room with its twinkling lights. Santa Claus arrived with gifts, wishing everyone a ‘Merry Christmas’, much to the delight of children excitedly waiting to meet the jolly man.
The family event concluded with the announcement of three Gingerbread House Competition winners, with prizes ranging from dinner for two at Italian restaurant Mondo, Friday brunch and Christmas brunch.
The evening was a resounding success, filled with festive energy and creative spirit.
