His Majesty King Hamad has issued a royal decree granting a special pardon and release of 896 inmates who have served part of their sentences behind bars or are participating in alternative judicial schemes.
The announcement comes as the kingdom celebrates national day and the 25th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad’s accession to the throne.
The royal pardon comes in line with His Majesty’s generous custom and keenness to provide those included in the pardon with the opportunity to integrate back into society and participate in the growth, progress and prosperity of the kingdom.
