Children with cancer participated in a ‘Little Archaeologists’ event at the Bahrain Fort in Karbabad as part of an initiative by Smile which provides psychological support to the youngsters and their families.
The fourth edition of the event was organised by the Future Society for Youth in co-operation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
The children engaged in hands-on activities and embarked on an enriching journey through Bahrain’s history, participating in archaeological digs, learning about ancient civilisations and exploring traditional craft like pottery.
“This initiative enhances public awareness of child welfare and provides a stimulating environment for their growth through diverse activities and reflects Bahrain’s dedication to educating youth about its cultural heritage,” said society chairman Sabah Al Zayani.
The programme is set to run until next month and will allow children from various institutions to delve into Bahrain’s history and culture.
