The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that bookings for the purchase of a limited-edition silver commemorative coin minted to mark the 25th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad’s reign will begin tomorrow.
The coin, priced at BD125 ($332.50), will be available in a quantity of 1,000 and features a 3D portrait of the King and the Sakhir Palace on its obverse and reverse sides, respectively.
The CBB said all proceeds from the sale of the coin will be directed to charitable organisations and funds through the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), in line with His Majesty’s directives.
Bookings can be made through the Mawaeed National Appointment System app starting at 11am tomorrow. The coins can be collected at the CBB’s headquarters in the Diplomatic Area on the chosen appointment date.
The CBB said the date for booking appointments to purchase the second and final batch of the commemorative coins will be announced in due course.
The eGovernment App Store where the Mawaeed app can be downloaded can be found at www.bahrain.bh/apps.
