A woman from the Henan Province of China took measures to the extreme as she convinced her partner to suffer three intense hours of electric shocks to his stomach to simulate the pain of childbirth.
Though it is unclear why her fiancée accepted the challenge, he sure didn’t expect the horrendous impact it would leave!
The man was left with intestinal necrosis, meaning the body tissues in his intestinal cells died due to lack of blood flow as a result of the extreme shocks. He had to undergo an emergency surgery after the incident.
The traumatising experience led him to break off their marriage, as well as sue the woman for bodily damages.
According to the woman, her mother and sister proposed the idea of causing her fiancée to “experience the pain of childbirth” prior to getting married so that he would be more considerate of his wife in the future.
She admitted that her fiancée initially strongly opposed the idea, but she kept insisting, and he eventually agreed.
The excruciating test took place in a maternity care centre run by the woman’s sister.
The woman used an electric stimulation device specifically designed to simulate the pain of childbirth. For the first 90 minutes, she allegedly increased the intensity at a slow pace, and for the next 90 minutes, she activated the power to its maximum peak.
“My boyfriend started to feel miserable from level 8, and couldn’t help cursing by level 10,” the woman wrote on a Chinese social media platform. “At level 12, he was sweating and breathing rapidly due to the severe pain. By the end of the experience, he was completely exhausted and his stomach was as hard as a board,” she added.
Later that night, the man vomited several times and experienced severe abdominal pains. Although the next day, he seemed to feel better, his condition soon deteriorated, and he was rushed to the hospital. The man was diagnosed with intestine necrosis and immediately scheduled for emergency resection surgery.
When the man’s family found out about the torture his fiancée had subjected him to, they were furious and told the woman she was not welcome to visit the hospital. They also told her that the engagement was off and warned her she should get ready for a lawsuit.
According to Chinese legal experts, if the woman is found guilty, she could face up to three years in prison along with compensation fines to the victim.
