Women looking to purchase the best abayas for Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr are being urged to avoid falling for online scams targeting female consumers in the kingdom.
According to the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, fraudsters are reportedly attempting to take advantage of people by offering non-existent abayas at tempting prices on social media platforms.
Before purchasing anything online, customers are being advised to always view the credibility of the website or the seller.
Additionally, they should check reviews of previous customers, if any and avoid making upfront payments using unreliable methods. Payments should always be made using only secure means such as credit cards, or cash on delivery.
Those who come across such scams or have fallen victim themselves should contact the directorate by calling the 992 hotline.
