Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to help the drivers and passengers involved in a high-speed collision last night at the National Charter Highway junction near Gulf University in Sanad.
It is not known how many people were injured in the two-car incident, or the extent of the injuries suffered.
Official sources said the accident was caused by a driver jumping the red lights.
Investigations continue and no more details were made available by the time the GDN went to Press.
