Chairman of the parliamentary public utilities and environment committee and head of the housing investigation committee Mohammed Moosa Al Belooshi has affirmed that intensive efforts are being made by the housing investigation committee to review and improve the housing policies.
He said a number of recommendations have been preliminarily agreed upon with the Housing and Urban Planning Ministry, including mainly setting a fixed cap on the deduction percentage for the beneficiaries of “Mazaya” programme, and raising the maximum salary ceiling to BD1,500, allowing a larger segment of citizens to benefit from housing finance .
