His Majesty King Hamad last night sent a cable to President Ahmed Al Sharaa congratulating him and the Syrian people following the announcement by US President Donald Trump to lift economic sanctions on Syria, in response to the efforts of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The King welcomed the decision, describing it as a positive step towards supporting Syria during this pivotal phase in its modern history .
