A massive search operation is underway for the second consecutive day in northern Türkiye, as rescue teams desperately try to locate a nine-year-old Saudi boy who fell into the Haldizen River. The Trabzon Governor's Office confirmed that 108 search and rescue personnel are involved in the extensive effort, according to Al Arabiya.
The boy, who was on vacation with his family, plunged into the Haldizen River, located between the picturesque villages of Uzungol and Demirkapi. His father bravely jumped into the fast-flowing waters in an attempt to save him, but was overcome by the high water level and strong current. The father managed to escape the treacherous river with difficulty.
