His Majesty King Hamad yesterday ratified and issued Law (24) of 2025 amending certain provisions of the law on associations, social and cultural clubs, and private bodies working in the field of youth, sports, and private institutions, promulgated by Decree-Law (21) of 1989, following approval by the Shura Council and Parliament.
The amendments in Article (18) and Clause (3) of Article (89) permit associations to invest surplus funds under regulated conditions, while maintaining the prohibition on political activity, high-risk financial speculation and misuse of funds beyond their authorised purposes .
