The Somali National Army carried out a special security operation targeting members of the Khawarij terrorist militia in the El dheere area, about 8 kilometres from Halgan town in the Hiran region of Hirshabelle State.
According to the Somali National News Agency (SONNA), the operation resulted in the killing of at least 10 members of the terrorist militia and the destruction of sites and fortifications they used for planning and positioning.
The army confirmed that this operation reflects its high readiness, as well as the support and participation of citizens in defending the security and stability of their areas.
