The Supreme Council of Health has announced the revision of maternity and labour services fees at the Government Hospitals for non-Bahraini visitors and non-residents.
The revised fees will come into effect on July 1.
Under the new decision, the revised fee for normal deliveries for visitors and non-residents has been set at BD 425, and the fee for caesarean deliveries at BD 1,025.
“This adjustment follows a comprehensive study conducted in co-ordination with the relevant authorities regarding the pricing of maternity services,” said a statement by Government Hospitals.
“The fees have been revised to reflect the actual costs, including medical staff, equipment, and support services.”
This decision aims to ensure the continued provision of high-quality healthcare services while promoting fairness and sustainability in the distribution of services among beneficiaries.
Residents and those employed in the government sector are exempt from this decision and will continue to receive maternity services according to the existing regulations without any change.
