Government Land Investment Committee chairperson and under-secretary for research and projects at the Office of the Prime Minister Nouf Jamsheer has announced the listing of a new government plot in Zallaq on the Government Land Investment Platform.
The offering is in co-ordination with the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and aims to establish an international sports training camp.
The initiative is part of a partnership between the committee and the council to optimise the use of government land in support of vital sectors. The project is expected to attract sports teams and national squads from around the world to hold training camps in Bahrain.
Jamsheer emphasised that the platform will continue to offer high quality investment opportunities in co-operation with relevant authorities to support sustainable development goals, enhance government land management, and boost the real estate sector’s contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant secretary general Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa said the training camp will adopt the highest engineering and technical standards to create an advanced sports environment. It will allow clubs and national teams to engage in specialised training programmes and exchange expertise.
The initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to promote strategic investment in government land, particularly in promising domains such as sports and tourism. The offering is made through the platform investmentland.gov.bh, which ensures transparent procedures, fair competition and a supportive environment for sustainable investment.
