Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to empowering young people and enhancing their role in national development.
In a statement marking Arab Youth Day, Shaikh Khalid yesterday noted that, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with the support of His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and SCYS chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain continues to invest in its youth as part of a wider vision to build a thriving, forward-looking society.
Shaikh Khalid said that Arab Youth Day is an opportunity to recognise the energy and promise of young people across the region.
He affirmed that youth are the greatest asset for advancing development, highlighting that their ambition, creativity and resilience not only inspire hope but also pave the way for a more prosperous future for their countries.
Shaikh Khalid also underscored the importance of creating opportunities for youth to flourish through targeted policies, innovation-friendly environments and programmes that allow them to take an active role in national and regional development.
He concluded by extending his best wishes to all young people in Bahrain and the Arab world for continued success.
